obama girl
just weighing in on the presidential race because that's sort of my thing. i think it's interesting now that romney has dropped out and i really think that we'll see a mccain-huckabee ticket come november. which is one of many reasons that i'm an obama girl. i really like him and what he stands for and his ability to bring people together, which is what i think this country needs right now. he's my first and only choice. if it comes down to a choice between hillary and mccain, though, i'm exercising my right to write in a candidate. even if it doesn't count for much, i'll at least i'll know that i've put in my two cents and that's about all you can ask for. i would recommend the write-in option for all of you who don't like your other options.

I don't know if I can claim you as a cousin any more. I would not vote for Obama to save my life. I would rather die than have him as president. But hey that is the joy of being part of a republic and the joy of freedom of choice. At least you vote.
I'm an Obama girl, myself. (Sorry Amy) I, too, appreciate his ability to bring people together.
If it's Clinton against McCain, I'll vote for Clinton. She's not my favorite, but I do like a lot of what she has to say.
I am very much against McCain. His ideas about the war make me nervous. And I don't much care for his stance on education stuff.
Now that we are starting to put our toes in the education waters, I'm ultra-sensitive to different candidate's platforms on that.
I'm anxious to see what happens in the coming months.
Laura and I were talking about this today. If it comes down to McCain and Clinton, I told her I would just not vote. However, after reading your comments, I will vote, but do as you suggested, I will write in a candidate. I will NOT vote for either McCain or Clinton.
I will have to say I disagree with you on this. I watch a lot of the political stuff now that my husband is in the military and I don't like any of the canidates. I think however I will have to go with your cousin (????) on this one and say Obama is the least of my picks. I'm going to write my own in now.
McCain is a warmonger (spelling?) Clinton frightens me. Obama is my best choice out of the three I'm a scribbler so I too may write someone in.
Everyone has the right to pick their own canidate that is why we don't have a dictator. I am just happy to see so many people inerested in politics and the future of the country. We need more people on board.
